Thousands of people and corporations across the United States charter private jets for business and leisure travel every month. In fact, more and more companies are depending on brokerage companies to connect them with jet operators who can then transport their executives to and from distant meetings in a quick and efficient fashion.

For Jeff Brouwers, president of Insight Jet Charter, connecting with these companies that regularly require travel to Las Vegas, New York, West Palm Beach and other popular business destinations, turned out to be a bit of a marketing challenge.

"I needed to target my marketing in those regions where there is a high density of corporate travelers, but I didn't know how to do it," said Brouwers.

He then tried Google, MSN and Yahoo!, but didn't feel he was reaching his diverse target audience. He also felt he was getting very little return on his investment. The calls weren't coming in, which meant his company wasn't getting noticed.

"At times, it felt like I was just throwing my marketing dollars at the wall in hopes that something would stick."

While researching his competitors, Brouwers discovered that they were using Local.com and decided to try an ad to target his Scottsdale, Ariz. location. After just three months, he found he was getting better results with the Local.com ad than an ad he had previously placed with Yahoo! Local. "The Local.com ad outperformed the Yahoo! Local ad," said Brouwers. "I was getting a lot more hits and my new customers kept telling me that they found me on Local.com."

Another benefit he discovered was Local.com's lower ad cost since the company offers a monthly subscription program called Local Premium™. The pay-per-click (PPC) ads he had previously purchased through a different source turned out to be expensive and at one point exposed him to click fraud.

"The pay-per-click ads were driving up my ad budget and proved to be an ineffective form of online advertising for me," said Brouwers. "Now, when somebody clicks on my Local.com ad, I usually get a call."

Brouwers decided to expand his Local.com ad to the popular Los Angeles region and was pleased to see that Local.com's relevant results were paying off. Since his target business customers didn't have to sift through a lot of information and listings, they were able to find his site quickly and connect with his business in a more efficient way.

"When people use Local.com, they get local, targeted results that are also highly relevant, which makes it easier to find what they are looking for," said Brouwers. "This is definitely something you don't get with the more general search engines."

After getting eight or more calls per day from new customers, and up to 35 on occasion, Brouwers is very pleased with the results he is getting. "Local.com is working for me and I'm ecstatic! I just wish I'd known about local search earlier because I'm getting a lot more bang for my buck and it's great!"
